The present research paper deals with one of the significant principles of fundamental jurisprudence, which is 'correlation between issues and its impact on their having the same ruling'.

The paper discusses the lexical and technical definitions of this type of correlation, and it touches on its forms.

The study traces the opinions and sayings of the scholars on this issue to their sources and indicates the points of dispute and the evidence presented by each team.

The present study concludes that correlation between two issues leads inevitably to their having the same ruling in Islamic jurisprudence, and that rejecting this principle means rejecting one of the fundamental principles of jurisprudence used for inferring rulings.
