Both the introduction and the preface of this research paper focus on the concept of peaceful coexistence.

The paper has four sections; the first of them tackles the relation between the Islamic Shari'ah (Law) and the other religions, whether revealed, or non-revealed.

The second section deals with the legal principles regulating the relationship between Muslims and the non-Muslims living with them in Muslim countries.

The third section shows the attitude of the Islamic Shari'ah towards non-Muslims, its ruling on peaceful coexistence and the acceptance of others.

This section also describes the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims according to Islamic jurisprudence.

The fourth section is about the fields of peaceful coexistence between Muslims and non-Muslims.

Such fields include religious, social, economic, cultural and political types of coexistence.

The conclusion introduces the most important results and the recommendations.
