Abstract EN

The present research aims at preparing an instructional kit for informing kindergarten children about some Arab scientists and its effect on developing their Arabic identity.

the research group included 30 children enrolled in KG 2 in Assiut educational administration the researcher used the instructional kit which included various activities such as electronic stories, paper and interactive stories, chants and songs (audio, video, and motion), drawn and painted photos of scientist, videos, motion pictures, movies, picture cards, models, interactive books, and the autobiography of Arab scientists which all aim at informing kindergarten children about some Arab scientists and developing their Arabic identity the Instructional kit activities have been used to inform the research group about some Arab scientists and to develop their Arabic identity.

the researcher prepared two scales; one for assessing kindergarten children identification of Arab scientists and their scientific fields, the second for assessing developing Arabic identity of kindergarten children.

the validity and reliability of the two scales have been checked.

the scales have been administered twice on the research group (pre-and post).

the results showed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the research group favoring the post-testing of both scales, also, the results showed that the effect size resulting from using the instructional kit activities was big which assures the effectiveness of the instructional kit in informing kindergarten children about some Arab scientists and its effect in developing their Arabic identity.
