Abstract EN
This paper investigates the interrelationship between the Hittites and the Kaškäer tribes.
The Kaškäer tribes were controlled the north and north- easte regions from the Hittites Capital Hattuša to the so-called Black See mountains.
Along the Hittites history, the Kaškäer tribes caused a lot of troubles to the Hittites kings from the Old Hittites Kingdom till the end of the New Hittites Kingdom.
Additionally, the Hittites kings took the necessary measures to protect their capital Hattuša, either by building fortifications at the northern parts of the capital or by sending military campaigns against the Kaškäer tribes.
Moreover, the Hittites kings were forced occasionally to move their capital to a temporary location because of the Kaškäer attacks.
