Examples of gravestones writings in the graveyard of Mustafa Al-Dwati Uskudar, Istanbul
(A study in form and content)

This research deals with the publication and study of five tombstones in the grave yard of of Mustafa Al-Dwati in Uskudar, these tombstones are good preserved and the texts excuted on them provided us with the names of those buried beneath them and in this research, the tombstones have been published and studied terms of description of these tombstones and an analytical study of the way letters are drawn.

the method of drawing words, then followed by an analytical study of the content of writings in terms of the titles and functions mentioned in these grave stones, this graveyard on which these tomb stones are known as Mustafa Al-Dawati graveyard, which is from the graveyard that contains Tomb combination that Carry Tombstones in addition to the independent tombstones themselves.

This trace ability and its evidence Witnessed many floral motifs im addition to the use of Arabic calligraphy as awritten and decorative element at the same time.

The study choes five examples of tombstones in graveyard of Mustafa Al-Dwati Uskudar district Istanbul the reson is alse due to the study of the lack of a specialized study in Islamic in Islamic archaeological writings that deals with these tombstones before, these tombstones are studied for the first time in terms of form and content.
