The purpose of this study is to identify the level of applying the skills of future thinking among art education' students at Umm Al Qura University.

Descriptive and comparative methods were used to investigate the student's point of view and its relationship to study variables.

The study was applied to a population of (383) students, and was conducted during the second semester of the academic year (1439-1440 AH).

In addition, a questionnaire instrument was developed to measure the level of applying of future thinking skills, which consisted of (38) sub-skills divided into five main skills.

The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).

The results of the study showed that the level of applying of future thinking skills among art education students was moderate.

The level of applying of each skill was found to be in this descending order: planning skills, imaginative skills, decision-making skills, problem solving skills, predictive skills.

The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between the average responses of the study population to the level of applying all future thinking skills attributed to the variable level of study, in favor of the eighth level and above; and the skills of planning and imagination attributed to the variable students' GPA, in favor of students with the highest GPA: (3) to (4); and the skills of prediction and decision-making are attributed to the gender variable in favor of male students; and the skill of planning attributed to the variable of field experience, for the benefit of students with teaching experience
