Abstract EN

The linguistic messages appeared in Arab heritage in the past.

It is intended to mean the familiar material that includes only one subject.

It was the first brick that built dictionaries.

The old Arabic linguists used two methods in writing the linguistic messages; one of them is to write a linguistic message that includes just one subject for example, (the monsters), (the rain), (trees), etc.

The other one includes specific linguistic phenomenon for example, (antonyms), (obscures) etc.

The writers who used to write on the latter type were Abdullah Ibin Abbas (68 AH), Yonis bin Habeb (172 AH), Qatrab (206 AH), and Al-Asmai (216 AH).

These messages did not limited to some subjects, terms, grammatical phenomena as there were some linguistic messages included Qur'anic verse(sura) or aya or part of aya individually.

These messages consider as an extension to Qur'anic books of meaning, grammar and the problems of interpretation.

Thus, no one can deny the importance of these messages and its scientific value.
