The ence of criticism in the modern Islamic environment and the monopolization of the holy texts by the clergy is what "Arkoun" calls Islamic Orthodoxy, which we must overcome and return to the Islamic heritage to excavate in its layers to discover what has been forgotten, neglected or excluded.
