Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to try and measure the symptoms of the Dutch disease in Algeria for the period 1990-2018.

This study was based on the error correction model and the shock response function.

It has reached a causal relationship between oil prices and exchange rates, terms of exchange, GDP, unemployment rate, It also found that the change in oil prices negatively affects the unemployment rate in the short and long term, and has a positive impact on GDP.

And a positive effect in the short term, long and negative in the medium term on the exchange rate, and the price of oil affects the terms of exchange positively on the short and medium term and negative impact in the long term, We recommend the need to avoid or neutralize the Dutch disease through the efficiency of the distribution of resources and reduce wasteful, with the promotion of exports outside the fuel and the substitution of various imported products
