The strategic importance of the distinguished geographic location of Ukraine, the richness of its natural resources, and the ethnic variety of the Ukraine people were the main causes of the Ukrainian crisis.

They were important enough to push, across the history, the super powers like the Othman empire, Russia and the Soviet-Union to occupy Ukraine.

This country was dominated by the Soviet-Union until its dislocation at the end of the cold war.

Being independent in 1992, it faced difficult circumstances and found itself dominated by two directions.

The first one is to join the European union, the second is to return to the Russian federation.

The geostrategic origin of the Ukrainian crisis is due to the fact that Ukraine is placed in the context of a continuous struggle between the West and Russia in order to control the Eastern parts of Europe.
