The article deals with one of the types of information crimes related to electronic data within the information system, which is the crime of destroying and deleting electronic data that took dimensions and large levels in view of their great spread, especially as it has become a major obstacle to electronic government as a necessity imposed by technological developments.

The threat of information destruction has become a real threat to the state's entity and institutions and its administrative and security systems.

This has led to various problems with the information systems which are currently the mainstay of administrative management in all countries.

All sectors have become dependent on electronic systems and data, and any defect caused by the crime of data destruction will inevitably lead to the disruption of all the interests of the firm, which necessitated addressing this type of crime by enacting legislative provisions commensurate with the nature of the premises on which this crime and Several legal and practical issues were raised.
