Abstract EN

I claim that this research is the first attempt by an academic researcher devoted to analyzing the issues of "Agricultural pests and their effects on Iraq in the Iraqi parliament 1925-1958", The problem of agricultural pests attracted the attention of members of the House of Representatives becouse of attacks the Marrakech and Najdi locusts on the Iraq, as well as Al-Hamira and Al-Dobas pests, which caused many diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, plague, cholera, smallpox and Bilharzia.

The research included introduction, preface, two axes, conclusion and a list of sources.

The first axis reviewed the views of the deputies and their positions on these pests for the period (1925-1939).

The second axis covered the period (1940-1958) and also discussed the attitudes and opinions of deputies on agricultural pests and its economic effects.
