This research paper seeks to shed light on the importance of adopting knowledge management approach in achieving quality in the Algerian higher education sector.

It is based on the descriptive perspective to demonstrate the importance of knowledge as one of the most important intangible assets in higher education institutions.

It aims at clarifying the various applications of knowledge management which are vital to the success of educational institutions and aims to facilitate the selection of the best tools and methods which are applied in higher education institutions.
