Industrial waste was studied in Iraq because of its significant impact on human and environment.

The number of factories and laboratories in Iraq (1407), which has the Waste Management Department (89), which does not have the waste management department (1318) Industrial enterprises with one industrial water treatment unit (84), which owns more than one treatment unit (12), and which do not have processing units.

The total water used in industry is 102, 100.6 m3 / day, 45244 m3 / day Water treatment to the underdeveloped water has reached (59.2% ).

The total annual liquid waste amounted to 9945834027 m3 / year, of which 27438911 m 3 / year for total hazardous waste, 9918395116 m 3 / year for total non-hazardous effluents, and the total of industrial waste water reached 992796500 m3 / Year, and the quantity of industrial backward water was hazardous (21586711) m3 / year, and the quantity of non-hazardous industrial waste water (9906379789) m3 / year.
