Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the statistical Methods used for analyzing data in the academic dissertations (MA and PH degrees) that were authorized in the Social Work Department in the Faculty of Social work at Assuat University during the period (2010-2016) and to identify the most statistical Methods used by researchers.

To achieve this, the study employed the content analysis and Content analysis Guide as basic tools for collecting the data.

The analyzed dissertations were (75), and the results show the following: - 1 The most common statistical methods in theses (MSc and PhD) which are approved in the specialization of social service are (duplicates and percentages), where the number of frequencies (60 times) of the total theses that have been analyzed.

- 2 The measures of central tendency (mean, median, and vein), frequency, and percentages used in analytical thesis were high, with a total of 248 times of the total number of dissertations analyzed.

- 3 The most simple statistical methods used in the university theses were the T-test (75%) of the total analytical messages, followed by the analysis of variance (F) by 50%.

- 4 Advanced statistical methods were limited to only four tests (analysis, binary variance analysis, triangular analysis, and variance analysis of measurements) in the dissertations that were analyzed.
