This research deals with a vital subject in the administrative work at Hadhramout University, which is the administrative decision-making.

The university administration constantly performs this function to solve many of the problems it faces.

However, the administrative decisions made by the University administration provoke controversy among university employees over the validity, strength, and the implementation of these decisions.

Consequently, this research aims mainly to identify the ways how administrative decisions are made at Hadhramout University and the extent of their conformity to the requirements of the scientific methodology for administrative decision-making.

The study reveals that Hadhramout University administration applies the requirements of the scientific methodology in the decision-making at varying but not high degrees.

The study provides a number of recommendations such as urging the university administration to apply the scientific approach in making its decisions
