Abstract EN

Careful reading of the reality of the digital environment in the Arab region showed a lack of Arab capabilities in reaching the realization of the information society project, and this is evidenced by human development indicators in the Arab region that have proven that there are many obstacles that contribute to widening the digital divide between the developed world and the Arab world.

Where it was found that the vast majority of these countries are information backward, as they lack the basic information infrastructure to accelerate their transition to the information society.

From this research paper aims to highlight the most important obstacles that have affected the delay in the transition of the Arab countries to the information society, in addition to standing at the content of the proposed Arab strategies to accelerate the transformation of the Arab world towards the information society.
