تتعدد أنظمة التوثيق في البحوث و الدراسات العلمية (APA، MLA، ISO…) ويتوجب على الطالب أو الباحث الاعتماد على نظام من هذه الأنظمة يسمح له من الاستشهاد بالمراجع التي اعتمد عليها في بحثه أو دراسته أو عمله.
و تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بنظام من هذه الأنظمة و هو معيار ISO 690 و هذا قصد السماح لمن يريد استعماله من معرفة كل قواعده و توجيهاته في الكتابة الصحيحة لتدوين الاقتباسات في المتن و كتابة قائمة المصادر

Systems of citation are numerous in research and scientific studies (APA, MLA, ISO.

), and the student or researcher must adopt one of these systems to be able to cite the references on which he excerpted in his research.
This study aims to introduce one of these systems, which is the standard of International Organization for Standardization (ISO 690), through defining all its rules and guidelines, which helps the researcher in writing the correct citations for references, whether in the body of the text or when editing the bibliographic list.
