Abstract EN

The difficult social conditions, and the social problems that result from them, especially crime, pose a great challenge not only for decision-makers and social and security policy makers, but also for producers of scientific knowledge (universities and research centers).

And that the treatment of crime is not carried out by means of the punishment of the offender, in so far as it requires the treatment and modification of the social order in which the criminal acts.

From this point of view, the subject of this article revolves around the role of scientific research in reducing, controlling and preventing crime.
