Abstract EN

This study aims at identifying the obstacles facing small and medium enterprises in the Wilaya of Skikda, namely: Constituent and environmental, administrative, financing and marketing obstacles.

A questionnaire was designed and distributed to a convenience sample of 141 small and medium enterprises in the capital of Wilaya and its suburban.

Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to analyze data and test hypotheses.

The study found many results, the most important of which are the following: Small and medium enterprises in the Wilaya of Skikda are faced to Constituent and environmental, financing, marketing and less administrative obstacles.

The most important of obstacles are large number of taxes imposed on enterprises, difficulty of dealing with banks due to the large number of procedures and the huge guarantees required by them and unfair competition by informal sector.
