Summary This study aimed to detect the presence of burnout among the nurses of the health sector in the wilaya of Constantine.

The study was conducted on a sample of 114 nurses working in the health sector of the wilaya of Constantine.

hypotheses of the study1) nurses suffer from a degree of burnout varying between medium and high, for the dimension (emotional exhaustion) at the scale of mbi.

2) nurses suffer from a degree of burnout varying between medium and high, for the dimension (depersonalization) at the scale of mbi.

Method and tools of researchThe descriptive correlational method was chosen to explore the prevalence of burnout and its degree among nurses and, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) of Maslach and Jackson (version1986), which revealed: 1.
