Algeria has undergone historical periods during which it has undergone changes according to the political, social and cultural contexts that have contributed to the circumstances and foundations of the writing of history and the collective perception of memory transmitted by one generation and another and from time to time.

Critical and careful reading of the history of Algeria recorded in its various times reveals to us several trends in the process of writing down history.

They were reports of the customs and history of Algeria with a view to facilitating its colonization process.

Algeria; therefore, this paper seeks to answer the following problem: What is the concept of memory in Algeria and the extent to which transitional justice can be achieved in the current transformations?
