The Algerian legislator has created under Organic Law 19-07 the Independent Electoral Authority as an independent body that oversees the organization and supervision of the electoral process in all its stages, and given the importance of this role and the sensitivity of the electoral process and that it must take place within the framework of integrity and transparency, the legislator must set legal provisions and rules regulating this authority And included performing its work in an impartial and independent manner.

In order to achieve this goal, the legislator surrounded the independent authority and its members with many guarantees.
