The aim of this study is the role played by the United Nations, represented by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, which is a protection mechanism and has been instrumental in protecting vulnerable groups, including minorities facing acts of racial discrimination, torture and all forms of treatment.

The Commission has developed regional and country mechanisms and offices to protect this group, as it has been shown that UNHCR has played a prominent role in reducing serious violations of minorities, in addition to creating training programmes, which are known as programmes.
