This study aims at investigating the relationship between the economic interests of the oil producing countries and the environmental challenges resulting from production, consumption and export operations and the resulting gas emission during the production process and the leakage resulting from transport operations through pipelines or tankers.

The study found that oil-producing countries give priority to their economic interests over environmental challenges, as their economies are linked to the revenues of oil and petroleum products exports, and lack of technology that reduces gas emissions and oil spills in rivers, seas and oceans, but there are attempts in some oil-producing countries to maintain On the environment and prepare for the transition to clean energies.
