Constitutional authority is one of the most important pillars of the rule of law.

The Algerian constitutional institution has entrusted this task to the Constitutional Council as the organ entrusted with protecting the constitution.

However, the Constitutional Council's exercise of this jurisdiction depends on the implementation of the notification mechanism as the only means of activating constitutional control.

Prior to the constitutional amendment of 2016, this right was granted to only three bodies or parties, which was reflected in the activity of the Council and the effectiveness of its oversight role.

In order to rectify this situation, which was characterized by limited notification bodies, Notification of Aq to include new destinations, allowing the Constitutional Council to expand opportunities and areas of intervention.
