Abstract EN

This study tackles the asset declaration as a mechanism for the prevention of corruption in Algerian law, by addressing related legal dispositions and regulations: the scope of asset declaration, the procedures of asset declaration, and the sanction for a breach of this obligation.

This study also addresses the ability of the asset declaration on the prevention of corruption, by discussing the adequacy of current legal dispositions and regulations to ensure this mechanism in political and public life, and safeguarding integrity of public officers charged with public service.

Finally, this study culminates a few observations and conclusions on the topic, and some suggestions that can contribute to improve this mechanism to achieve its objective.
