Millions of children around the world are trafficked and exploited.

Despite the efforts of States through their legislation to eradicate or at least limit the spread of this crime, however, it has continued to grow and has expanded beyond the borders of States.

It has also become a transnational organized crime due to its complexity, confidentiality, the sophisticated means used to commit it and its connection with other crimes.

Thus, it attracted the attention of the United Nations which considered it as one of the most serious crimes that require taking all measures to combat it.

The child trafficking becomes a worldwide concern that requires international efforts to codify it and establish an effective mechanisms to address it.

In this regard, the close cooperation between States in all levels is necessary to combat this crime.
