Abstract EN

This paper aims to identify the oil crisis 2014 implications on the Arab countries economies in general and Algeria in particular, by addressing the most important types of oil prices and the various factors that affected them during the period (Jan– 2014 – October 2017), and then analyze the impact of volatility on some variables economic of the Arab countries (oil revenues, domestic liquidity, official external reserves.

) and the projection of this study on the case of Algeria.

It was found that the fluctuation of oil prices had a negative impact on the economic variables of the Arab countries as a group.

It also showed that the Algerian economy is still a fragile economy that can not withstand external shocks due to its reliance on exporting one depleted resource whose prices are subject to international markets.
