Abstract EN

The present paper attempts at examining the reality of employment in the craft industry in Batna.

It provides an overview of this industry and sheds light on its prospects in providing employment opportunities for the labor force, especially those that have the potential to do it either technically or financially.

It also tries to investigate the privileges that this industry offers for crafters to ensure its sustainability in all its different activities in the state of Batna.

Results of this study showed that the craft industry in Batna has greatly contributed to the creation of employment opportunities for the various sectors interested in it.

As the statistics obtained show, they are males and females belonging to different age groups and educational levels and come from both urban and rural areas.
