Abstract EN

This study aims at highlighting the economic importance of the transport sector and its role in achieving economic development in Algeria, through exposure to the sectoral strategy of Algeria in the field of transport and its current status, and study the effects of this sector on macroeconomic indicators in general and on economic growth in particular as one of the most important determinants of economic development.

The study found that the transport sector plays a major role in creating wealth and in providing job opportunities.

Hence, it is necessary to pay more attention to this sector and develop it to meet international standards and be able to play its developmental role.
