This paper aims at studying the data and methods available in the Qur'an for the study of religion, which form an arsenal for the Muslim researcher to study religion and its issues.

the picture that the Qur'an draws on religion, its conception, the formulation of the religious belief, the religious pluralism, diversity of creeds, the religious symbols and rituals, and the related issues.

Therefore, the paper starts with the centrality of the Qur'an for the Muslim researcher in Religions.

Then, the paper is divided into two sections; firstly the discussion of the material available in the Qur'an.

The second part discusses the methodological indicators derived from the Qur'an that form the methodology of studying religion.

The study adopted an inductive approach to the verses of the Qur'an related to the subject, and an analytical approach to elaborate the methodological rules from the Qur'an to study religion.

Accordingly, after analysis and discussion this paper found that the Muslim researcher relying on the Qur'an could find a huge material dealing with religion and its issues, as well as could develop systematic indicators that form methodological rules that help study religions objectively.
