Abstract EN

Dealing with the phonetic aspect of studying speech and phonetic syllables especially for non-Arabic speakers has an impact on the comprehension of Arabic and the the way it is taught.

it is not enough to teach just reading and writing, but we have to add to that the specific phonetic aspects of the language such as, syllables, accent and intonation.

this paper is interested in four phonetic aspects which are: syllables, accent and intonation in two parts.

the first one is theoretical; it provides the definition and the impotence of each phenomenon.

the second one is practical, it shows how to deal with these phenomena and teach them to non-Arabic speakers with illustration and explanation.

finally, we conclude with some recommendations.
