The reader of the ancient Arabic criticism finds that it has paid an important attention to all aspects of Arabic poetry, through its form and content aspects, where we do not find a critic who did not tackle Arabic poetry in any way, since the first critical book, layers of poets to nowadays.

perhaps one of the issues related to poetry, which has attracted the attention of critics is the identification of its concept and reality, so, opinions varied and differed, because of the diversity and differences of knowledge references and cognitive foundations, through which they built their perceptions, from this point of view this article will try to address this issue concisely and precisely, so that the critics doctrines about the issue reveals.
