Abstract EN

This study seeks to analyze the poems of Ibn Zaydoun by searching in their quality and beauty that appeared in his poems which are wide spread in the old and present Arabic literature, and searching for literary intertextuality within these texts, then summoning ancient texts and clarifying the relationship between the old part (the absent text) and the part of poetry of Ibn Zaydoon (the present text).

therefore, the poet must have a literary intertextuality in his poetry from the absent texts to show and expose his poetry.

this study attempts to discover the placement of literary intertextuality of the poet with the poetry of his predecessors.

the study found that the poet was affected by his literary heritage and verbal methods, and this is evident in the poems of Ibn Zaydoon.

literary intertextuality is a prominent phenomenon in Arab poetry because it is a literary wealth that should not be neglected by subsequent poets.

literary intertextuality may reveal the poet's portfolio, his burning memory, and the ability to use the poetic verse of a former poet in a beautiful, visible and clear manner to the recipient.

literary intertextuality appeared in most of the poems of Ibn Zaydoon that we found in his collection.
