English Abstract

This study aimed at recognizing the role of kindergarten Principals in developing the Functional Performance of the Teachers in Jerash Governorate as perceived by them.

The population of the study consisted of (270) teachers, and its sample consisted of (163) teachers.

To collect the data, a questionnaire consisted of (37) items distributed into five domains was constructed.

These domains were: planning, classroom management, The questionnaire's validity and reliability were computed.

The results of the study showed that the average of mean of scores of all domains was (3.66) with an average rank, and the mean of scores of all domains was (3.66) with an average rank, and the mean of scores of all domains ranged between (3.61-3.71) with an average rank, except for the domains of classroom management (3.71), and Planning (3.69) with high ranks.

While the domains of evaluation, creativity and development came in the to west rank, (3.61) for each.

The results of the study also showed that there were no significant differences existed between the mean of scores of the respondents due to experience and academic qualifications.

in the light of the results of the study the researcher introduced several recommendations among which: raising the principals awareness of the individual differencess among the children, and to acknowledgement of their needs to satisfy them.
