The International Criminal Court has a legal relationship with the Security Council under its statute, and this relationship produces legal implications and repercussions, some of which may have positive repercussions on the court, and most of them have negative repercussions on them as a result of the council's political orientations.

The relationship of the International Criminal Court with the Security Council is governed by two aspects: The first is a positive aspect, which is to activate the activity of the criminal court, and this positive appears when the Security Council issues decisions that motivate the court to exercise its jurisdiction and leave it to exercise its powers freely and even support it in its work.

As for the second, it is a negative aspect, which is the restriction by the Security Council of the court and its obstruction from the exercise of its competences entrusted to it.
