This study addresses a problem of contemporary Arab literature and its impact on Orientalist studies.

The movement of free poetry has attracted the interest of many critics, especially those interested in comparing contemporary Western and Arabic studies.

This essay will reveal to us the extent of the relationship of effect and influence between them, explaining the impact of contemporary Arabic poetry on the culture of the Orientalists, the influence of the poets of Orientalism on the pioneers of the movement of modern Arabic poetry, then explaining the way of translating free poetry into European languages, while giving examples of free poetry translated to different European languages, this is the case of the poetry of Adonis that we have put it in criticism, that also of Mahmoud Derouiche and his influence on European culture in order to record their impact and influence in Arab and Western studies of the dynamics of innovation in contemporary poetry
