Abstract EN

The Algerian state has adopted a free-competition economy, which is a requirement of modern economics based on freedom of trade and industry but on specific legal disciplines.

Algeria has for a while embarked on a policy of economic reforms to keep pace with the requirements of the new system, established a competition Council along the lines of many independant administrative authorities in 1995, and has been given many tasks through its broad powers.

This paper addresses the framework governing the Competition Board by exposure to the composition and terms of reference of the Board under the guarantees of its organic and functional autonomy in the exercise of its functions.
