Abstract EN

Although African countries got independent and separated from colonial countries, but the spanning roots of this last, are still persisting in the former colonized countries, particularly France, which had traced its cultural and economic effects in its colonies, in regard to the richness of African continent of raw materials, and in view to the current international security changes, in particular, the occurrences in Libya, and the tribal conflicts in the African Coast (Sahel), which represent a threat to the interests of the external powers and competing ambitions in Africa.

The French military intervention in Mali is not marked as a first intervention in Africa, for the sake to preserve its national interest, there are always economic and strategic interests.

This is in the framework humanitarian intervention to give international legitimacy by drawing up UN resolutions to justify its military intervention.

The conflict took dramatically other harder degrees in 2012, with the insurgency of radical Islamist groups that has worsened Mali's security and political situation, causing the financial president to turn to France, through demanding help from France to operate militarily in Mali, in 2013, after gaining local, regional and international approval and support.
