Administrative corruption was the number one factor in the waste of public funds throughout the stages of economic and political reform in Algeria.

It also disabled the efforts of the state to achieve the comprehensive national development required since independence.

Public finance is the most important means of public administration to implement its economic and social programs.

And the lack of maintenance and preservation of this money has several negative effects at all levels.

The Algerian legislator has rectified this situation and made it extremely important through the enactment of a special legislative system that suppresses all illegal interference with public funds.

Law 06-01 defines all forms of corruption crimes, which are essentially an attack on public funds.
