Abstract EN

The large manufacturing industries are considered as a branch of industry and industrial activity.

The study of their development is of great importance in the process of manufacturing industries and the type of relationship that they have with other industries, as well as the inter-spatial relations that connect them with other industries and environments.

The changes that took place between the years 2000-2013 and the relative importance indicated that there has been a positive change in the activity of large manufacturing industries in the governorate compared to the similar change in the total country.

The results of the quantitative analysis using the industrial quantum coefficient showed that there is improvement in some branches of the large manufacturing industries and there is a decline for some others as the highest increases occurred in the chemical industries and thus ranked first in improvement followed by the paper and printing industries and textile industries; Then wood and furniture industries.

Using the coefficient of relative change, there is also a negative change.

During these years, there was a positive change in the number of industrial establishments and there is a positive change regarding number of labores which gets (0,57 ).
