This paper aims to highlight the laws related to investments, which extend from independence until the end of the eighties of the twentieth century.

This phase was characterized by the control of the public sector on economic activity.

The private sector did not have a prominent role, especially the foreign one.

Which calls for independent development and national exploitation of national wealth.

However, during this phase, Algeria adopted four laws on investment and foreign capital.

In order to embody the process of supporting and developing investment, Algeria has made many changes to create and create an environment conducive to attracting domestic and foreign investments.

Within the framework of reforms, Algeria has been a group of facilitators of the investment process
