The second half of the last century witnessed a scientific and linguistic explosion.

It resulted in the emergence of many linguistic sciences, most notably: applied linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, and others; Linguists have devoted the science of textual linguistics to studying and analyzing texts, and knowing the relationships that unite their elements and ensure their cohesion, and because modern textual linguistics and ancient Arabic criticism share the fact that each of them researches the cohesion and quality of texts.
