Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the impact of novel Greek philosophical concepts that integrated itself into the Islamic thought through translation.

It further aims to assess how new ideas were proposed over different time intervals, that were consistent with the cognitive development between the second and fourth centuries after Hijri; by addressing the issue of God's relationship with the world.

This was demonstrated by Al-Kindi's concept of creativity and Al-Farabi's concept of emanation, and how translation influenced the spread of debate and the emergence of new concepts in the Islamic community.

The study established that the growing cultural intermixing had a direct effect on altering the stance of philosophers on the issue of world creation.

This was expressed by Al-Kindi in his theory of creativity, which was reconcilable with the religious view because of the control of the Mu'tazilah Doctrine.

Furthermore, Al-Farabi he decided to approach the matter with a philosophical point of view at the expense of the religious view, and adopted the Plotinus emanation theory.
