In ancient times, the people of Maghreb, like other nations, had pagan beliefs (from prehistoric times) and continued until after the spread of Christianity, where the man believed that the existence of hidden forces to run and decide his fate, he sought to sanctify the manifestations of nature to his faith and belief that spirits inhabited it, so he took the mountains, stones, rivers, trees and others; sacred to him, in addition to different types of animals in the forefront of which; rams and bulls to get closer to it; to win its satisfaction and gifts, and avoid its anger and evil, Thus, the Ancient Maghrebian man embodied his idolatrous beliefs, influenced by the natural environment in which he lived, and by the experiences and beliefs of nations that he had experienced through migration and settlement, such as the Egyptians, the Phoenicians and others.
