There are many implementations of the idea of public order, both in the field of branches of public law and that of branches of private law, and among family matters tenderly linked to the idea of public order in the law of the Algerian family are the obstacles to marriage.

The Algerian legislator stipulates in family law permanent and temporary obstacles to marriage, as well as classifies annulment of marriage as a case opposed to these obstacles.

The annulment of marriage is the most important feature of the idea of public order.

The connection of permanent and temporary barriers to marriage with the idea of public order is perhaps intuitive, due to its close connection to the healthy family upon which society relies.
