Abstract EN

This study aims to demonstrate the importance of political institutionalization in theory and practice, and to reveal the concomitant relationship between the processes of political institutionalization and democratic transition, a strong and efficient institutional construction, its submission to the law, and the separation between the power and its exerciser constitute an axial condition in the process of democratic transition, Algeria has known several constitutions, starting from that of 1963 up to that of 1989, which is a major shift towards the embodiment liberal democracy, The Algerian political system has been known since its creation of the personification of power, The importance of institutionalizing the power stems from its strong relationship with the democratic transition, Thus, it is not possible to talk about a democratic transition in the presence of a dominant elite that refuses the political alternation, and seeks to personalize it.
