Abstract EN

The free poem played an important role in achieving a qualitative leap in Arabic literature, especially with the emergence of the poets of modernity, especially after the vast gap with their bitter reality which became a great paradox.

Their poetic creativity was then a revolution against the old ballet; however, the poem continued to struggle for its survival.

The poems of the Maghreb influenced by many models of free poetry, which coincided with the emergence of the first free poetic model of the Iraqi poet (Nazik Al-Malaika).
