Abstract EN

In this study, we deal with the reality of economic development in Algeria through the economic policies and programs that have been established since independence, despite the crises of the collapse of oil prices and the security events of the 1990s.

We have concluded that the economy is still dependent on fuel revenues and has not made an actual boom in diversification despite the huge public investments.

However, there are satisfactory results in terms of human development and the agricultural sector and the political and security stability that came with it.
